Meet Stormy Burton Hi there! My name is Stormy Burton, and I'm a sweet young pup with a huge heart and an even bigger spirit. I'm completely potty trained, do great in my kennel, but if you ask me, my favorite place to sleep is under your blankets, keeping your feet nice and warm. I'm a social butterfly who does wonderfully with other dogs, and my foster's cat is actually my best friend! I also do amazing with my foster's autistic toddler, showing just how gentle, patient, and loving I can be. You'll usually find me soaking up belly rubs, happily exploring the backyard with a wagging tail, or sticking close by as your loyal little shadow. I'm looking for a forever home where I can continue to learn, grow, and give my people endless affection. I promise to be the happiest greeter when you walk through the door and your most devoted companion every day after. Important note: Stormy does have some medical needs that potential adopters should be aware of, and her foster would be happy to talk through everything and answer any questions. CARE STL uses a match-making style of adoption which focuses on pairing animals with humans to better each other based on the individual's needs and lifestyle. We do our best to ensure the right pet for the person through an open, conversation-based approach to assess what the applicant is wanting in a companion animal. Who Qualifies for Adoption? - You must be 21 or older. - You must be able to provide a secure, stable, and loving home environment. - You must be able to provide the adopted animal with proper post-adoptive veterinary care. Come by the shelter to fill out an adoption application or fill one out online to save you some time at the shelter. The purpose of this application is to gather information about your home, pets, and general lifestyle to help our adoptions counselors determine if the pet you wish to adopt is a good fit for both you and the pet. Please give us a call at (314) 696-2444 or email us about any questions you have concerning available animals or to schedule a time to meet with one of our Adoptions Coordinators. Or you can simply come by our shelter located at: 2700 Walnut Place, St. Louis, MO 63103. How Much Does it Cost to Adopt? DOGS: $100 This fee includes spay/neuter services, vaccinations, microchipping, dewormer, initial flea/tick treatment, and heartworm testing. CATS: $100 This fee includes spay/neuter services, vaccinations, microchipping, dewormer, initial flea/tick treatment, and FIV/FELV testing. PUPPIES: $150 KITTENS: $100 for one kitten, $150 for two kittens This fee includes spay/neuter services, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, dewormer, and initial flea/tick treatment.
