Meet Stone
Stone is incredible! He is so sweet and loving. He's a big boy, and he is deaf, but he is an absolute dream. He lived with kids and was brought to the shelter because his family could no longer keep him due to housing.
The rescue will provide training for whoever fosters Stone. Please consider this boy!
Notes from Stone's intake at the shelter:
Stone is a big, lovable guy. His owners had no where to live and that's how he ended up wtih us. His surrender form was rather heartbreaking. He is only 1 year old and they had him since he was one month - found him as a stray. He is deaf. They said he is good with strangers, lived in a home with children. He spent most of the day in the bed, spent the night under the kid's beds, and he likes running for exercise. They said he is house trained. He has been introduced to a kennel. The last thing they said about Zeus is "He is a good dog. Find him a home please. "
The family's sister's kid has autism and he was good with that child. Also lived with kids 4+. He likes being with people. Our experiences with Stone are that he is a sweet guy. He liked being close for petting and would push his body into you. He did respond well to treat training and did seem to know a sit command with sign language. He takes treats very gently. He allowed for petting all over and gave no issues with handling. He seemed interested in the dogs around him, but was good walking past the other cages. He went back to his cage with ease. For his large size, he is actually quite easy to handle. Sweet boy.
