Stitch's Story

Stitch is a mix between a sweet couch potato and an extremely playful young dog who loves his people! He is a pit bull mix with amazing "up" ears who was adopted as a puppy, and heartbreakingly returned to the rescue just before his former family had a baby. Hope's Home was at capacity, but his family of 2 years sadly refused to keep him longer, so volunteers worked together to make Stitch a living space - he is now roommates with Scout, as they share the living room!Stitch loves going for walks and hikes, watching the birds or laying in the sun in the warmer weather. He needs a yard so he can do zoomies and laps! Stitch has the perfect combination of energy and chill! Stitch came back to us as a shy boy because his previous home did not take him out much, but since being at Hope's Home, Stitch goes for daily walks, pack walks, to the pet store and Home Depot. Because we didn't have an available foster he is currently living at Hope's Home with a behavior trainer - so you get an amazing pup, plus the benefits of a behavior trainer! Stitch has lived with dogs in the past, and currently is living with them, but we feel he would do best in a home as an only dog, as he just loves soaking up all the attention of his people! A quiet, dog savvy home who will commit to forever would be the best fit for our handsome guy. Please visit apathwaytohope.org to apply to adopt Stitch, and email us with any questions at info@apathwaytohope.org!
