Stitch's Story

STITCH is a 10 year old 74 pound yellow male mix (his ears are the subject of lots of jokes!). Look past his unique ears and you will discover the most loyal and loving dog you will ever meet. He has impeccable house manners...totally house trained, sleeps on his dog bed, doesn't jump on furniture or jump up on you. He is perfect on and off leash and loves to go on walks and car rides...actually he will love to be wherever his current love of his life is. Currently, his love of his life is his foster mom and though his devotion is to her now, it can easily be transferred to the next love of his life. His foster parents have discussed adopting him themselves, but with an extra permanent canine resident, it will limit the number of dogs they can foster. Stitch is older and he is starting to show a little arthritis in his hind legs but he still gets around just fine, but stair cases aren't in his distant future. He likes the company of other dogs, but sometimes his quirkiness can put off other dogs. He seems a bit too interested in cats and probably would chase them, but knowing his loving nature, we'd find it hard to believe he'd actually hurt one. Stitch is just looking for a home where he can permanently lay out his dog bed, where he will be an indoor member of the family, and most importantly have a new love of his life. The first time he lays his head on your lap and looks up into your eyes with his big round dark brown eyes, he will be your next love of your life, too.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please go to our website and read the page "How to Adopt a Lab." Don't forget to tell us you are from PetFinder.
