Stewart's Story
Stewart came to Wescue from a shelter where he was taken as a stray. He was severely underweight and heartworm positive. It took determination and time to find out what was going on with Stewart, but we finally got a diagnosis: he has Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI). Stewart’s pancreas is not producing the enzymes needed to properly digest his meals and get the nutrition he needs.

Now that we know, we are able to treat Stewart’s condition - he gets special enzymes on his meals, which help him digest his nutrients. Stewart has been gaining weight, had a dental, and now has started heartworm treatment.

Stewart is content to follow you around and enjoys his walks. Are you looking for a sweet senior dog?
