STEVIE's Story

STEVIE / 4yrs / FEMALE / MIXED BREED / WEIGHT 38lbs (16kgs) / Rescued from Barbados / Currently fostered in Markham

Good with other dogs. cats and older dog savvy kids
House trained

Stevie is missing half of one ear from her prior life but it has healed and causes her no issues.

Meet Stevie, the Sweetest Quiet Soul Looking for Her Forever Home

Stevie is a gentle, soft-hearted girl who wins people over not with big energy, but with quiet loyalty and a tender spirit. She takes her time getting to know new people, especially men, but once she decides you're safe, she becomes a deeply devoted companion who greets you with a wagging tail, soft eyes, and a hopeful roll onto her back for belly rubs-her absolute favourite.

At home, Stevie is the definition of well-mannered. She's fully housetrained, non-destructive, and respectful of the space-she doesn't even attempt to get on the furniture, preferring her bed and her beloved lambchop toy, which she often carries with her like a comfort item. She settles well when left alone and spends much of her day snoozing contentedly. She isn't very food-motivated, but she'll happily accept pork treats, dental sticks, or a crunchy cod skin.

Life with Stevie is peaceful and easy. She's a low-energy girl who loves her routines: a mid-morning walk, a cozy nap in her dog bed, an evening stroll, and plenty of lounging in between. She walks beautifully on leash and prefers to keep moving when passing strangers, but she's made great progress with confidence and continues to improve. She's generally indifferent to most dogs and would be perfectly content as your one-and-only. That said, she could peacefully coexist with a calm, respectful canine companion. Her heart would be happiest in a low traffic area where she can enjoy a more relaxed pace of life.

Stevie is an easy, loving, quietly joyful dog who asks for very little and gives so much in return. If you're looking for a gentle companion who will cherish a calm life by your side, Stevie could be your perfect match!

Spayed / Microchipped / Vaccinations up to date

**PLEASE FILL OUT OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION TO BE CONSIDERED
https://www.caninehaven.org/dog-application
