Stevie's Story

Stevie is a fun-loving, high-energy boy with a big personality and a serious passion for playtime. He thrives on activity and excitement, especially when it comes to fetch. Once he gets going, Stevie could chase a toy all day and still be ready for more.

Stevie is confident and expressive, but he does need time and clear boundaries to feel secure with new people. When he’s unsure, he can be defensive, so he’s looking for an adult-only home with adopters experienced in resource guarding and reactivity. Stevie does not like sharing his food or toys—he prefers his belongings to stay his.

He is happiest as the only dog in the home, where he can soak up all the attention and truly be the center of someone’s world. Other dogs aren’t his thing, but Stevie makes up for that by being an incredibly engaging, fun, and loyal companion. His feelings about cats are unknown, though he may be open to proper, slow introductions.

Once Stevie trusts his person, he is affectionate, joyful, and absolutely thrilled to see them. He forms strong bonds and brings a lot of happiness, energy, and personality into the home. Stevie is the kind of dog who will keep you laughing, moving, and feeling loved.

For the right adopter who understands his needs and appreciates his zest for life, Stevie is 100% worth it—and then some.

If you are interested in adopting, please come prepared --bring a photo ID, proof of address, and everyone in the home including resident dogs with vaccination history.
