This adorable guy has been through more than his fair share, but you’d never guess it—Steven is all love, all the time.<br/><br/>When he first arrived, Steven was dealing with a painful condition called entropion, where his eyelashes were rubbing against his eyes. His eyes were badly infected, and he could barely see… but even then, he was gentle and affectionate.<br/><br/>After successful surgery and lots of TLC, Steven is finally feeling like himself again—and he’s loving every second of it! He’s playful, happy, and completely obsessed with tennis balls (he’s still learning to take the ball nicely, he gets so excited, but he’s trying!)<br/><br/>Steven is:<br/>• Great on leash<br/>• Dog-friendly<br/>• He’s smart and eager to learn<br/>• A sweetheart with everyone he meets<br/>• Full of fun and personality<br/>• He’s got a playful, goofy side that makes everyone smile<br/>• Ready to soak up all the love he can get<br/><br/>Steven has overcome so much, and now he’s ready for his next chapter—with a forever family who’ll adore him as much as we do.<br/><br/>Steven is a 4 year old lab/Pit Bull Mix.<br/><br/><br/>ADOPTING A PET<br/>We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend. Please contact us by phone at 913-321-1445 or by email at petadoptions@kckpd.org to schedule your appointment during weekdays.<br/><br/>If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.<br/><br/>Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).<br/><br/>FOSTERING<br/>Can't commit to adoption but still want to help us save lives?
