Steve Harrington's Story

Meet Steve, aka Steve "The Hair" Harrington! Named in honor of the Stranger Things character, Steve takes after his namesake by being playful, silly, extroverted, and often very excited about whatever he's doing, even if it makes no sense. Steve is currently being fostered with his littermate and sister, Robin. His foster home has two adult dogs, older children, and teens, all of whom he gets along with.

Steve is a playful, vocal, active puppy. He has a strong chew drive and has quickly learned the joy of chewing and carrying around dog toys! While initially quite nippy, Steve realized early that people prefer kisses and he's getting better at saving his puppy teeth for the many dog toys available to him. He wants to make people happy and loves to receive praise for giving kisses, sitting pretty, and going in his crate. His tail goes wild when he hears how good he is! Steve sleeps in a crate with his sister Robin and is doing well on sleeping and calming in his crate. He will need patience and consistency to learn his puppy skills, and would love to have a person ready to train him and keep him active.

Steve and his littermates were picked up as strays at the side of the road in a rural county in mid-December. The puppies spent ten days, including Christmas, at a shelter where they were cared for until being able to be transferred to foster homes. The puppies have all been snuggly, playful, and active and were more than happy to have access to yards, toys, and a quiet place to sleep! We do not know the parents nor exact birth date of the puppies, but they were estimated to be roughly 7-8 weeks when they were picked up by the shelter, giving them an estimated birth date in late October. We do not know breed mix nor adult size, but they are likely to be medium-large when fully grown.
