He’ll have playful little spurts of energy here and there, but overall he’s much more about calm companionship than constant playtime.

He is fully potty trained and has been an absolute rockstar outside of a kennel, so crating hasn’t even been necessary. In the home, Steve is just… easy. He hardly ever barks, doesn’t jump on people, and truly just wants to be near his humans.

Steve is fantastic with kids and currently lives with children ages 4, 7, and 10. He’s gentle, patient, and happy to soak up hugs and attention from everyone. His energy level is on the lower side — he’s perfectly content to relax on a comfy dog bed, hang out outside, or follow you around the house just to be close.

He loves food and treats, enjoys spending time outdoors, and most of all, values being with his people. He’s the kind of dog who doesn’t ask for much — just love, a soft place to land, and a family to call his own.

Steve is still figuring out stairs. He’s learning to go down them and hasn’t quite attempted going up yet, so a home with minimal stairs or a patient family willing to continue helping him build confidence would be ideal.

If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate, low-maintenance companion who will quietly fill your home with love, Steve might just be your perfect match.

If interested in adopting me please fill out an application on our website at www.fetchingtailsfoundation.org; please make sure you fill in every required field/question or your submission will not go through.
