Sterling's Story

Sterling is 2-years-old and came to Arctic Rescue after being found as a stray. He is a medium–low energy sweetheart whose greatest life ambition is... cuddles. This very friendly, social lovebug believes couches were invented specifically for snuggling, and he will happily climb up beside you, melt into your arms, and literally fall asleep while you’re loving on him.

Fully potty trained and proud of it, Sterling is a true gentleman in the house. He walks nicely on leash, sits politely when asked, and never says no to a tasty treat (or a warm hug).

He’s friendly with other dogs, and while he’s curious about cats, he’s respectful and will disengage when told to. His experience with children is untested, so any introductions should always be supervised by an adult.

If you’re looking for a loyal, easygoing attention seeker, Sterling is your guy. He’s happiest relaxing by your side, but he also enjoys getting out to explore and see what the day has in store. Sweet and devoted Sterling is ready to report for cuddle duty in his forever home!

All Arctic Rescue dogs are marked “yes” to “Needs Experienced Adopter.” This is because Northern Breeds typically have higher exercise, training, and care requirements than others. We recommend thoroughly researching the breed before pursuing adoption, if you do not have prior experience.

Arctic Rescue's Adoption Policy
HOW OUR ADOPTIONS WORK: 1) We require all adopters to fill out an online application at: https://www.arcticrescue.com/adopt 2) We are a Utah-based rescue. All potential adopters must come to Utah and meet the dogs. We do not transport dogs. 3) We want to make sure that your home is the perfect fit for one of our dogs and vice versa. We want all members of the family to be happy and well matched with each-other, so require families to do a phone interview, reference checks, meet dogs and pass a home-inspection before adoption.
