A rescue in Texas saved Sterling from animal control just one day before he was scheduled to be euthanized. At the time, he was skinny, uncertain, and clearly had been through far too much. Thanks to their dedication, Sterling was given the chance he deserved — and he has since made his way to Maine to continue his journey toward a loving forever home.<br/><br/>Today, Sterling is thriving and has blossomed into a happy, affectionate “velcro dog” who simply wants to be close to his people.<br/><br/>We lovingly call Sterling a “hippo” because he’s a big, lovable goofball who truly has no idea how big he is. He is the definition of a cuddle bug and will happily offer hugs and affection.
