Stella's Story
Stella is our longest resident. This poor baby has been waiting for 3 years to find her forever person or family.

She is a 50+ pound, 5-year-old Staffordshire Terrier Mix, who has a lot of playfulness and energy. She is such a good girl and wants to play ball and please her people

She can be dog selective. She will do best as an only dog or with an older dog that is calm. She likes old male dogs, who have less energy than hers.

She would do best in a home without cats as she tries to chase them. If your home has children, they need to be older and respectful of animals.

Stella is a smart girl! She knows her name, sit, how to walk on a leash, she is housetrained, and crate trained.

She learns super quickly and is very treat motivated. She sleeps either in a crate, dog bed or in your bed, she isn't picky! She is a cuddle bug and loves to be with people. Stella does put her paws on people when she is excited, but we are working on that and expect it will be easy to correct because of how smart Stella is!

She has completed a mix of basic obedience & behavior modification course. She will thrive with a consistent routine. It is important that her owner is willing to put in the time to reinforce her training, allowing her to continue to make good choices. Just you setting aside a few short training sessions (about 10 minutes), a few times each day to work on a particular skill, such as basic commands will go such a long way and really strengthen your bond. If you are in Indianapolis area or the surrounding Southern part of Indy – Greenwood, Whiteland, Franklin…her previous trainer would be happy to meet with you and show you the ropes.

She is worth it!!!

Adoption Fee: 150.

*We do not adopt out of state. We do foster to adopt before adoption allowed.
This allows everyone to make sure it is a good fit.
