Meet Stella
Stella is currently in a foster home near Westchester Ny. Please fill out the application to learn more about her-

Stella is a very spunky and loving 4 year old shepherd/collie mix. She's currently around 35lbs of athletic bouncy muscle/fur. Her favorite things include going for hikes, playing fetch/catch (you'll wear out before she does), cuddling on the couch, and really just being with her people. She is extremely treat and praise motivated. You give her pets/cuddles and she'll be your best friend! As a former NYC apartment dog, she is crate trained and does well in apartments, provided she gets her daily exercise. Stella does fairly well on the leash but requires a firm grip when squirrels are around. Unfortunately Stella does not get along with cats or small children. She is sadly being rehomed due to being nervous around the toddler in the family.
The ideal family for stella would be one that's active and has strong alpha/leadership. Think empty nesters, family with middle school/high school aged kids, or families without small children. I've found that training Stella is one of the best ways to bond with her. She absolutely loves training and learning tricks. I'm a big believer that she would be the best agility dog given the proper training! Stella is an incredibly sweet dog that just needs the right home that she can be a full time member of the pack! Please consider giving this beautiful girl the life she deserves!
