Stella's Story

Stella is a head turner! We can’t even tell you the color of her coat; you’ll have to see for yourself. Let’s just say it looks like she had some serious balayage treatment (look it up). GORGEOUS!
We call Stella a Cairn Terrier mix (possibly mixed with Wheaton?). She is medium size and weighs about 22 lbs. At this writing she needs to gain some weight. Stella’s approximate DOB is February 2024. She arrived at FOPAS extremely shy, yet within just a couple days her sweet and silly spirit shone through.
Stella came to us from a rural shelter and foster home that shared the following with us:
• Puppy pad trained.
• Good with small dogs ~ large dogs and cats unknown.
• Best with older children due to her uncertainty about quick movements/new experiences.
As we get to know Stella, we have also learned:
• Shy at first meeting, she loves people! Stella is excited to see our volunteers, seeks reassurance when trying something new, and is always ready for fun.
• Playing ball is her favorite activity! She gets the zoomies in our play yards and has a blast with balls and stuffed toys.
• Her leash skills are improving daily.
• This smart girl just needs a regular schedule to help with her potty training.

We love our little head turner and know you will, too! If you can give Stella the patience, guidance, and reassurance she so deserves, please complete the application and a volunteer will respond ASAP.

https://www.parkvilleshelter.com/adoption-application

FOPAS is primarily run by volunteers who are passionate about animal welfare and are dedicated to our animals for their entire lives. As such, we screen all potential adopters and strive to match each adopter with the perfect fit for their lifestyle and activity level.

All adopters must live within a 4 hour drive of Parkville, Missouri.
