Stark's Story

Stark

Stark is a gentle, sweet-natured dog who has been waiting far too long for a home of his own. Rescued on January 11, 2021, he was found living on a mattress off a freeway truck stop with another dog, surviving outdoors for weeks before help finally arrived.

Now approximately 8 years old, Stark is considered an early senior. He may be a little shy at first, but he has come a long way and continues to build confidence with time, patience, and kindness.

Stark is very dog-friendly and has a submissive, easygoing personality. He enjoys being around other dogs, playtime, and getting exercise. He still eats with enthusiasm, a habit from his past, and it’s a reminder of how far he’s come.

He prefers being outdoors but would truly benefit from a home where he can be brought inside and included as part of the family. He does not do well with dog houses and thrives more with connection and companionship rather than isolation.

Stark would do best with a patient adopter who understands that he may need time to fully settle in. A home with other friendly dogs would be a great fit, as they help him feel more comfortable and confident.

After waiting since 2021, Stark deserves the chance to finally feel safe, secure, and chosen.

If you’re looking for a kind, loyal companion and are willing to give him the time he needs, Stark could be the perfect addition to your home.
