I came from the San Bernardino shelter where I arrived in rough shape. I had a prolapsed vagina, was extremely underweight, and honestly looked like life had run me over a few times. Freedom Frenchie Rescue scooped me up, got me surgery, fed me real food, loved me, and I have since healed beautifully. Ive gained about five pounds, filled out like a stuffed Thanksgiving turkey, and now walk around like a dramatic little queen who survived the trenches.<br/>My Potty Habits<br/>Lets be honest: Im mostly potty trained, but I have quirks. If you open the door for me, I go potty immediately, no hesitation. But sometimes I come back inside and decide I wasnt finished and politely bless your floors. Im working on it truly. I potty best when you come outside with me because I have this deep fear of being left alone, thanks to everything Ive been through. If you tell me go potty, I will listen like a good girl. If my routine is thrown off, I might have a crate accident, but when things are predictable, I do really well. I promise Im trying my hardest.<br/>My Chaotic, Hilarious Personality<br/>I am adorable chaos wrapped in a tiny velvet potato body. I love playing with other dogs, especially gentle ones like my old bestie Louise. I am still learning the difference between normal play and something that looks like a fight scene, which means if I sense drama, I will launch myself into the middle of it like Im the police, the referee, and the UFC champion all in one. Im not aggressive; Im just incredibly confident in my ability to fix things that dont need fixing.<br/>Now lets talk about the booty. Do not scratch my back, butt, or back legs unless you want to see a demon rise from the underworld. I wont bite, but I will perform a full exorcism scene with sound and motion. Its dramatic, its ridiculous, and everyone ends up laughing at me while I decompress. The same goes for waking me up please do it gently, or I will activate my ninja mode before remembering who I am.<br/><br/>My Favorite Move: The Turtle<br/>Yes, I turtle. Hard. If I get knocked over or overwhelmed, I flip onto my back, stiffen like a statue, and play dead like its my only survival skill. My foster mom says if I had a shell, Id crawl into it and take a nap. This is my coping mechanism, and honestly, it works for me.<br/>How I Love<br/>Ive been through some really traumatic things overbred, neglected, abused, abandoned and my brain sometimes shows it. But the heart inside me is pure gold. I melt when you hold me like a baby. I want to sit on your lap while you eat dinner, and if you work at a desk, I fully expect to be your emotional support coworker. My foster puts me in a dog baby Bjrn when Im being extra dramatic, and I will sit there like an angry burrito until I fall asleep. I might act spicy, but I love connection more than anything.<br/>My Daily Life<br/>I am extremely food motivated and will do anything for snacks. I did have kennel cough, and it hit me hard, but Im completely recovered now and feeling great. I love playing with my dog friends, though I do enjoy poking the bear literally. There is a bulldog named Max who tolerates my nonsense better than he should, and even when he warns me, I still test my Napoleon-sized limits. The rescue has no issue telling me no calmly and consistently, and I respond well to structure and leadership.<br/>The Home I Need<br/>Im a hilarious, spicy, sweet, traumatized little queen who needs a home willing to understand that I come with personality a lot of it. I need someone who is confident and calm, who can lead me with patience, and who doesnt let me run the house. I can absolutely live with other dogs as long as you manage play correctly and introduce slowly. I adore being held, cuddled, carried, and told Im pretty. I respond to love, routine, and firm boundaries. If you want a Frenchie with zero personality, Im not your girl. If you want a dog who makes you laugh every single day, Im perfect.<br/>Why Youll Love Me<br/>I am sweet. I am ridiculous. I am dramatic. I am loyal. I am tiny but mighty.
