Star's Story
Star is a 3-year-old, 42-pound mixed-breed sweetheart whos ready to find a patient, loving home to call her own. Currently thriving in a foster home, Star is both potty trained and house trained and has proven herself to be a respectful houseguest who doesn't need a kennel. At night, she's happiest curled up next to her person on the couch or sharing the bed for some cozy companionship.

Star can be a little shy when meeting new people, especially men, but with a bit of time and gentle introductions, her true personality shines through. Once she feels safe, she becomes a loyal, affectionate best friend who will stick by your side.

She's a smart girl, too! Star already knows commands like sit, stay, shake, and down. She enjoys her daily walks, absolutely loves car rides, and has a playful side that comes out with her favorite squeaky toys.

Star has done wonderfully during vet visits and is comfortable with nail trims when handled by people she trusts. While she has been selective with dog friends in the past, she may do best as the only pet or with slow, thoughtful introductions to a potential canine companion. Because we don't know how Star does with children, a child-free home may be the best fit for her. She will also need a cat-free home.

Please note:
- Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed.
-Applications can be downloaded from our website.
