Star German Shepherd Dog Louisville, KY

Star is a beautiful female Shepherd around 3 - 3.5 years of age. Star was originally with us as a youngster who had been surrendered due to playing too rough. She was quickly adopted but was recently returned due to conflicts with the other dogs in the home.

Star is an adorkable social butterfly and is very excited making new human friends. Star loves to love and has not lack of energy when it comes to showing her affection for her favorite humans. She is a very people-centric and close bonding sort of girl. Star is used to being a house dog and is a wonderfully well-mannered and laid back girl in the house. She is eager to please and is happy to chill at home or go on an adventure. Star currently lives with an 11 year old child that she believes hung the moon. She has not been around younger children to our knowledge but she definitely seems to love kids.

Star does well meeting new dogs while out and is a doggy daycare superstar; however, she would prefer to be the only dog in the home. Star enjoys the play yard and romping with other dogs but her humans are a resource she isn't willing to share in close quarters. This is perhaps something that can be worked on over time but would need a dedicated behavior modification plan and is best done in a home she is established in. Star has not been tested with cats.
