I’m Star—a young, energetic pup full of love, curiosity, and lots of puppy energy! Life hasn’t always been easy for me. I once found myself at a shelter in Downey, CA, placed out of public view and marked for euthanasia. I didn’t understand why no one wanted me, but I never stopped hoping for another chance. I promise—I’m worth it.

I’m a smart girl and a quick learner, especially when treats are involved (did I mention I love treats?). I already know sit, come, let’s go, no, and give paw, and I’ve spent two weeks at a professional trainer’s home working on obedience and leash skills. I also shine in agility and obstacle courses—I love having a job to do!
I’ll need a committed adopter who will continue my training and help me keep growing. If you invest in me, I’ll give you my whole heart and become your BEST GIRL.

I do well with other dogs and enjoy playing—sometimes a little too enthusiastically—but I respond well to guidance when I need to cool down. I love walks, meeting new people, and spending time outdoors. Hiking, jogging, or long walks? Yes please!

I’m fully potty trained, crate trained, and I always do my business outside like a good girl. I also have a stunning brindle coat with tiger-like stripes that shimmer gold in the sunlight—people stop to admire me everywhere I go. ✨
Toys are a must for me! They help keep my busy mind occupied and give you some peaceful downtime. While I have lots of energy, I also enjoy cozy naps in my crate.

My ideal home includes a fully fenced yard where I can zoom and play, but I’m currently living happily in an apartment and can thrive there too—as long as you’re committed to regular walks, runs, and enrichment. If you’re active, patient, willing to do more training and ready to build a lifelong bond based on trust and love, I just might be the perfect best friend for you.

💛 Are you my forever human? I can’t wait to meet you.

*Side note from ACZ - We do not understand how such young dogs like Star end up at the dog pound. There are a lot of kind, young and eager to please dogs at high kill shelters all across California. The state is truly going through a 'dog crisis.' Please adopt a shelter dog and save their life, literally.
