Stanley's Story
<div> <span style='font-family: 'trebuchet ms', sans-serif; font-size: 16px; '><font face='trebuchet ms, sans-serif'>Stanley is with CAWL through no fault of his own. His family is losing their home. He is coming in from Utah on Tuesday 8.20.13 and will be in foster care until adopted.<br> <br> From his former owners: Chocolate lab mix (looks mostly like a lab). Neutered, great with other dogs and older than toddler kids (still has a bit of puppy in him so he can get a little too energetic around littler ones when playing without intending to) He loves to play fetch and play in the snow. Will bring you his rubber bone and place it next to you and invite you to play tug. </font></span> </div> <div> </div> <div> <span style='font-family: 'trebuchet ms', sans-serif; font-size: 16px; '><font face='trebuchet ms, sans-serif'>His favorite games ever are bubbles and flashlight tag. Bubbles is blowing bubbles in front of a fan and watching them fly and chasing them. After one play, he recognized the bubble gun on the kitchen counter and sat there looking up at it, waiting to play. Flashlight tag - will follow any beam of light until the batteries run out! If you whisper "Where is it???", Stanley will immediately start scanning the wall, waiting to see and chase his little light beam friend. Goofy and fun dog.</font></span> </div> <div> </div> <div> <span style='font-family: 'trebuchet ms', sans-serif; font-size: 16px; '><font face='trebuchet ms, sans-serif'>Stanley has lived with a smaller dog (25 lbs) since he was a puppy. When his family is away at work/school, both dogs have been given full run of the house with no problems either in the house or getting along well. Gets along really well with other pet in home. Has never been around a cat, but I would imagine he would sniff it and then decide to leave it alone. </font></span> </div> <div> </div> <div> <span style='font-family: 'trebuchet ms', sans-serif; font-size: 16px; '><font face='trebuchet ms, sans-serif'>Never shows aggression towards other animals or people. Likes to "hide" between his boys legs to say hello. (He did this as a puppy and still does it not realizing how big he's gotten!) Knows basic commands of sit, say hello (shake paw) and "wait" - sits nicely and waits while food bowl is filled till released with "okay" before he eats. Sweet temperament, eager to please & learns really quickly. Energetic, but again, mostly bc he still has a bit of puppy inside him. Has never snapped or growled. If you have to move his food bowl while eating, he will just follow it along calmly and not growl or become territorial. Pleasant disposition. Likes to play and learn new things. Very smart dog; catches on quickly.</font></span> </div> <div> </div> <div> <span style='font-family: 'trebuchet ms', sans-serif; font-size: 16px; '><font face='trebuchet ms, sans-serif'>Very calm and contented indoors, like to run in open spaces (outdoors) and loves to play outside. He will wander out a gate if left open, explore around for a few minutes and comes back when called. But not a fence jumper, digger, or barker. Actually will bark at the door a couple of times and sit and wait when he's ready to come inside. Is housebroken and crate trained. Stanley is sweet, goofy, and eager to please - loves human companionship.</font></span> </div>
