Stanley's Story
Please read our Core Values prior to applying, www.furryfriendsnetwork.com/adopt/our-expectations.

Posted 12/31/2023

Introducing Stanley, an easy going 14-year old cocker spaniel looking for a friend to dote on him in his retirement. His ideal home will offer lots of nap time with a warm oversized bed, yummy treats, minimal stairs and a calm stable environment. Lastly, if he can find someone special that will adopt him with his sister Betty, he promises to love them extra much!!! You see, Stanley was separated from Betty for several weeks and he was anxious and unable to sleep without medication. Since he’s been reunited with Betty in foster care, his anxious tendencies have all but disappeared and he’s become an expert napper/snorer. Stanley is little timid but each day he shows us more of his delightful personality. In a nutshell, his personality is “dog dealing poker smoking cigar,” laid back watching the room, hard to read at first, and cooler the more he lets you know him. Stanley likes to get his chest petted or head rubbed and he gives gentle kisses in return. He’s been scared of having anything slipped over his head (harness, sweater, etc), getting picked up or sitting on laps. He’s shown no interest in toys, and mostly ignores cats and dogs that aren’t Betty. Stanley is a courteous houseguest who hasn’t had any accidents and hasn’t barked yet. He has lots of love to give and is ready for a special adopter to share it with.

Adoption application, home visit and adoption fee required. If you would like to apply for adoption, please complete the online application at www.furryfriendsnetwork.com.
