Stan's Story

Hi there! My name is Stan, and I’m a sweet Black Lab mix weighing in at 55 lbs with the silly Lab energy and stance. I’ve been hanging out at the shelter in Mississippi for the past three years until I was brought up north, now waiting for my forever home. But don’t let that fool you—I’ve got the warmest, golden brown eyes and a heart full of kindness.

I’d been sharing a kennel with my best bud, Happy, and we’ve become quite the duo but Happy was recently adopted and I’m here alone.

The folks at the shelter and previous fosters say I’m a very good boy, and I absolutely LOVE people. I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to get some special attention when someone takes me out to play. I’m affectionate and ready to shower you with love.

I’ve got great energy, am confident now and am always up for some fun, but a lower stimulation home would be best. I can be a little jumpy and exuberant (more so than Happy for sure) as we've never really lived in a home before. Some training might do me some good, along with a patient family willing to give me a chance in a home and a real life filled with love. A quiet home with older kids would probably be best, as I'm big and strong, not always knowing my own strength.

I absolutely LOVE all toys. My happy place is with a chew toy which will keep me busy for a long time!

If you’re looking for a loyal gentle spirit, I am your guys Ready to add some love to your life?
