Stafford (In Foster)'s Story

Hi... I'm Stafford. I've been an ACS dog since August 2024, and even though I'm safe in foster care now, I can't help wishing that this holiday season might finally be the one where I find a place and a family to call my own. My foster home is kind to me. They say I'm well-mannered and easy to have around. I try my best every day. I'm housetrained, too! I like keeping my space tidy. I get along well with female dogs, and I'm patient with dog-experienced kids who understand how to give a guy like me time and respect. Still... when the lights start going up in windows and families gather close, I feel a little tug in my chest. I imagine what it would be like to be part of something permanent, to curl up next to MY people, to finally unpack my little heart and stay. I know I'm not flashy or demanding. I'm just a good dog hoping for a real home. Maybe this holiday season, someone out there will see me. Maybe this time... I'll finally belong. - Stafford
