Stacy's Story

Meet Stacy — a sweet senior girl looking for the forever home she deserves!

This adorable 8-year-old brindle Pit Bull girl is Stacy, and she has been waiting patiently for someone to see just how special she is.

Stacy was found at the Elgin dump, and sadly, no one ever came forward to claim her. We may never know how she ended up there, but what we do know is that this girl is an absolute lover with so much love left to give.

Stacy absolutely loves her people and wants nothing more than to be close to them. She is happiest hanging out with her humans, soaking up attention, and simply enjoying their company. She has done wonderfully with people and also does well with other dogs!

Stacy recently had dental work done and is feeling good after getting the care she needed. She does have a Grade 2 heart murmur, which will need to be monitored by her future family and veterinarian. Her heart murmur doesn't change what a sweet, affectionate girl she is, but it is important that her new family is aware of it and continues to keep an eye on her heart health with their veterinarian.

Stacy loves to play fetch and in her foster home she met cats and does great!

At 8 years old, Stacy is past the puppy craziness and ready to enjoy the simple things in life — a soft bed, a loving family, leisurely days, and plenty of time with her favorite people. Most of all, she deserves a home where she will be loved and never abandoned again.

Stacy's story didn't start the way it should have. Being dumped at a landfill and never claimed is heartbreaking, but we refuse to let that be the end of her story. She deserves a warm bed, a loving family, and someone who will
