St. Michael (Ryan)'s Story

Meet Ryan!

If you are looking for a dog who will make you feel loved every single day, Ryan might be your guy. He is an incredibly sweet, affectionate, and loving boy who adores his people and is always happy to soak up some attention. He is also a very smart pup who is ready to start enjoying life with a family of his own.
Ryan has had a lot to overcome for such a young dog. He came to us in January 2025 after a teacher found a box of free puppies outside of her church in Shiprock, New Mexico. When he went in for his neuter, a significant heart murmur was discovered, and he was placed on medication. We later discovered that the weakness in his back legs was caused by hip dysplasia. Ryan has since had **two total hip replacements** and has spent much of his young life dealing with medical care and recovery instead of getting to simply be a puppy.
But none of that has changed Ryan's sweet personality. Now almost two years old, he is ready for the fun part: finding his forever family and finally getting to live the life he deserves. Ryan does best with female dogs but needs a proper introduction to any canine companions. Most of all, he wants a person who will appreciate what a special, affectionate boy he is. And because we want to make finding his forever home a little easier, **Ryan's adoption fee has been sponsored!**

After everything Ryan has been through, Ryan deserves the best, could that be you?
