Squishy

Meet our brave boy, Squishy! This handsome boy originally came to us as a stray way back in November. When he first came in, he was not in great condition. He was underweight, covered in scabs, bleeding and clearly neglected by whoever his previous owners were. Once he discovered he could be comfortable around staff and volunteers, he opened his heart right up! This sweet man has become everybody's favorite here at the shelter, and we are so glad he is finally up for adoption. Squishy would love a consistent routine with lots of love and affection. He deserves a chance to understand what a stable, comfortable home feels like. It is important to know that Squishy does have a grade 3 heart murmur. This is something that is not causing issues at the moment but will need to be monitored during vet visits to make sure it doesn't get any worse. Since this guy has been through a lot, he does have very sensitive skin and will have to be on a white fish only diet. Squishy appears to do well with cats, not seeming to care whether or not they're around. Just as long as the cat is calm and dog-savvy! As for dogs, Squishy can be a bit picky. We believe he would do really well with a calm, motherly-like dog.
