Spud's Story

"Spud" is a 2 1/2 year old terrier mix. He is high energy and would thrive in an active structured home. Spud loves to go on long walks, runs, hikes and bike rides. He walks well on a Keeper Collar. He acts somewhat like a mini retriever and loves to fetch. This dog loves to please his humans and is very smart. He would likely be a great competitor in agility or dog sports. He is highly motivated by food and toys but is still working on his impulse control.

Spud continues to work through "stranger danger", but does well with slow introductions to new people and dogs. He can be mouthy when over excited, and a bit jumpy. Spud continues to work on his social skills with other dogs. He can be dog selective. This wild boy loves to play with dogs after proper introductions but needs help staying under threshold. Due to his stranger danger and mouthy tendencies Spud would do best in a home without children.
