ADORABLE DOGGIE ALERT: Meet Sprout! <br/><br/>Sprout is a 4 year old female pure bred Giant Schnauzer. She has participated in obedience classes, Rally Obedience and she has attempted scent training (which she did not seem to have an interest in). She attended a 2 week stay and train program. She is a loving dog, but would do best as an only pet. While she does enjoy playing with dogs for short periods, she ultimately will resource guard things, including water or even her favorite humans. While she has never shown this behavior with humans, it is peristent with other pets. Sprout does have a high prey drive and is not recommended with cats or other small animals. <br/><br/>She will need a person who is familiar with her breed, working dog breeds or large dog breeds. She enjoys obedience training (she will work for treats!), but needs consistency. She also enjoys hiking and lakes. She is able to work her way out of a wire crate, so a large kennel is ideal for her. Her previous environment was an indoor/outdoor kennel with a fenced in yard. She cannot be left uncrated as she will destroy furniture. Despite this challenge with her crate, she is an absolute love bug who thrives on human attention. <br/><br/>She needs someone who is willing to provide love and attention, physical exercise and will consistently challenge her intelligence to prevent boredom. She will try to convince you that she is a lap dog. Due to her size and energy level, small children would not be recommended.
