Spot-Phoenix, AZ's Story

Meet Spot, aka Handsome. This handsome, approximately 5-year-old Dalmatian weighs 45 pounds and is looking for a loving forever home after his family could no longer care for him. Spot is deaf, but he has plenty of love and personality to share! He enjoys playing fetch, playing tug, riding in the car, and getting his favorite butt scratches. He is house-trained, crate-trained, neutered, and gets along well with other dogs and cats.

Spot can be shy when meeting new people, but with patience and kindness, he warms up and becomes a loyal companion. He is currently receiving training and support to help him build confidence and continue learning.

Because Spot is deaf, he needs a family who understands his unique needs and will communicate with him using visual cues, consistency, and patience. He can become startled if approached unexpectedly, especially when sleeping, and has nipped when frightened, so a home without young children is essential. Older, dog-savvy teens may be considered.

Spot would thrive in a calm, stable home with people committed to helping him feel safe and secure. A friendly canine companion could be a wonderful bonus. Spot isn't looking for a perfect family—just one willing to see beyond his deafness and give him the understanding, guidance, and love he deserves. Could you be the person who finally gives him his happily ever after?

Please copy & past the link below into your browser for our application:
https://www.jotform.com/form/243374218477059

Questions?
Email us at: info@savethedals.org or leave us a message at: 949-590-9935

**Disclaimer: None of our dogs have been DNA tested, so we cannot guaranty they are 100% full pure breeds.**

Save the Dalmatians and Others Canine Rescue's Adoption Policy
The first step in our adoption process is for the prospective adopter to complete our Adoption Application Questionnaire which helps us best match you with the the dog that would be most suited to your home environment and expectations. Email us at info@savethedals.org with the name of the dog that interests you and we will send you our Adoption Application Questionnaire. If based on the Application Questionnaire we think one of our dogs is a good match to your home environment and expectations, we will follow up with a phone call, advise you of the adoption fee, schedule a home visit if applicable, and arrange a meet and greet with the dog. Adopters are also required to sign our Adoption Contract; you will be provided a copy of the contract for you to review and ask questions before you adopt the dog. Note that we often have multiple applicants wanting to adopt the same dog. Our selection process is not based on whose application we receive first. It is based on who we believe will be the best match for the dog, allowing for the greatest success of a high quality, loving forever home, with the least likelihood of the dog needing to be returned to rescue. We commit to the life of each dog we rescue, such that at any point in the life of the dog if its adopter is no longer able to keep the dog, the adopter signs our adoption contract agreeing that they will return the dog to Save The Dalmatians and Others Canine Rescue. The dog is not to be turned into an animal shelter.
