Spot's Story
Spot had a rough beginning and endured neglect, but he remains a happy, well behaved, loveable boy. He is doing beautifully in foster care and getting rave reviews. He's fully house trained, does not chew, and gets along with the family cats. He enjoys meeting new people. <br/>Spot is about 1-2 years old, and at 19 pounds he would fit into just about any household that needs a steady dose of sunshine and joy. Shelter hours are 9-3 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, and 10 to noon on Saturday. We can arrange to meet you at the shelter after hours if needed. It is always best to make an appointment by calling 606-663-4998, option 1. Our small staff can't always get to the phone so PLEASE leave a message and it will be answered quickly. <br/><br/>We require an application. We can send you a copy by email, you can download one at fopcp.org, or we can arrange a time to fill one out over the phone. Our email address is pocoanimalshelter@gmail.com.<br/><br/>Adoption fees for dogs range from $150-$200. The fee covers the mandatory spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, dewormer, and first round of flea and tick preventatives.
