SPOT Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler Mix Rosenberg, TX

Spot is a super sweet and friendly Australian Cattle Dog who came into the shelter injured. He had puss and blood coming from what turned out to be a bullet wound on his right shoulder. He couldn't bear weight on that right front leg, and his walk wasn't normal on his back legs either. X-Rays show a comminuted fracture of the right scapula and a comminuted fracture of the left femur. More bullets were found in the poor boy too. Were not sure what life was like for him before coming into our care, but Spot has always been amongst the friendliest and most affectionate of our dogs. He has a cant keep me down, kind of spirit and, being young at heart, was determined to recover so he could play more. Spot got his wish! He went from hobbling around to being a bouncy, bubbly boy. He loves to zoom around and is full of playful energy. He gets around great now and has healed completely! Hes a great leash walker and always takes his treats gently from your hand. Hes got lots of puppyish energy, but hed prove to be your best friend ever!
