Spot

Spot is a three year old neutered Beagle/Dalmatian mix. He was brought to ARF by his owners because Spot would bolt out the door while in the lead and get away from them. Spot is good with children (there was an eight year old in the home), good with other dogs, and good with cats (there was a cat in the home). Spot is a typical Beagle type dog in that he is very active and very energetic. He is a scent dog who spends most of his walk nose-to-the-ground tracking interesting smells. Spot could use some improvement in his leash manners in that he pulls while tracking. He also should be taken for obedience training to solve the problems described by his former owners. Overall, Spot is a friendly and energetic dog who would do well living with an active family provided that he receives the proper retraining.
