Spike's Story
This is Spike (HWTH#19110B). He is a Doberman Pinscher mix, DOB: 3/12/19. Spike weighs approximately 70 pounds and stands 23 inches at the shoulders. This is a high-energy, loving (gives small kisses), strong boy who will need an active owner willing to give him everything he needs - from the love, attention, good-quality human companionship to the structure, regular daily exercise and any training necessary for him to live up to his breed and his potential to be an awesome canine companion. He will want to be with you as much as possible. When Spike is thoroughly comfortable in his new Forever home, he will benefit from positive basic obedience training to help with leash training, any other obedience commands and the all important bonding process. Spike may have problems with some dogs (at present, the volunteers with Halfway to Home have not seen evidence of this but it will be wise to introduce Spike to any other dogs slowly). He is crate friendly. For more information on Spike, please call 661-824-4495 (this is a land-line phone).
