Spice's Story
SPICE, is an ebony coated, 80lb, 3yr old beauty who is finally ready for her forever home! She's had a big rescue journey from her beginning to where she is today. We rescued Spice and her three newborn puppies from a So. CA shelter when we discovered all were scheduled to be euthanized for their kennel space. Thankfully, we got the whole family out just in the nick of time.

Spice was a wonderful Mom- very gentle and nurturing- and welcomed handling of her babies. She absolutely loves people and wants so much to bond and be someone's special girl. We don't think she has ever had that before and now that she has discovered how to be connected, she really desires that bond.

After Spice's pups were raised and adopted, we began her rehabilitation: helping her gain needed weight after her pregnancy, working with her to master home manners, crate training, leash walking and increasing her exercise to help her get strong and fit, all while we waiting months post delivery for the best time to have her spayed. She really began to shine and thrive with this extra attention and love. She has attended some obedience and socializing classes and we've discovered how much she loves to learn and her focus is really dialing in. Spice is treat motivated, takes correction easily and wants to please her people. She has a dominant play style and can be selective about her dog friends, preferring calm, neutral energy. At the rescue, she is honestly more interested in the humans than the dogs.

Spice has so much love to give.

Spice is more beautiful and physically fit than ever before, she is a wonderful, people friendly pup that is full of energy and looking for an active family that likes to be on the go. A family or single person that loves to hike or run, has experience with German Shepherds and truly enjoys dog activities, especially training would be her ideal home. She will repay her lucky person with incredible devotion and loyalty and companionship.
