Spice's Story

Sweet Spice came in with Sugar during the severe cold spell that we had. They were lucky to be picked up before something bad happened to them. <br/>He’s a really calm and well adjusted guy. He walks great on a leash and takes treats so gently. He seems sad to be in the kennel. We can only assume that his previous owners weren’t committed to giving him a good life being that they never came looking for him or Sugar. Both are thin and in need of some much deserved TLC. <br/>Spice is getting lots of attention from the volunteers as we get him vetted and ready for a new happier life. <br/>Being that he was found with another dog, we can assume that he’s dog friendly. <br/>If you’d like to meet him, send us an email

Sable Kennel's Adoption Policy

We are by appointment only. We advertise the available animals on our Facebook page and now on petfinder. Potential adopters will email us for an application. That application will be reviewed and once approved, the adopters can make arrangements to meet the dog. All dogs, kids and adults in the household must come for a meet and greet prior to taking the dog home. We will provide advice and support after adoption to make sure that the dog succeeds in their new home.

Our mission is to care for and support the lost, abused and discarded dogs until we can find loving and safe homes for them. We are a safe haven for dogs who have been failed by their previous owner.
