Meet Spencer! <br/><br/> <br/><br/>Spencer is a shepherd mix aged around 1 yr 8 months, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations and preventatives and weighing around 60lbs. Spencer hasn't had the easiest start in life. At the beginning of the year Spencer landed himself in Vernon Parish Animal Shelter. The first week of March he ended up on their euthanasia list, along with 18 other dogs. It almost seemed impossible to be able to move 19 dogs in less than 3 hours, but we were determined to make it happen. With minutes to spare, all dogs were saved; Spencer being the last one! Since being out of the shelter, this big guy has shown that he is just a pup at heart! Spencer loves belly rubs, playing fetch, eating, and getting affection from his humans! He doesn't realize his size and could knock over small kids playing. Crate trained and walks good on a leash. He would do better with a fence since he has a small animal prey drive but not mandatory. This sweet boy has been overlooked for far too long! 8 months he waited and no one showed for him. It's Spencer's turn to find his forever home and have a family of his own to love him.
