Spencer is ready for his forever home!

Spencer is a small-med sized boy, primarily poodle but we suspect has a tiny sprinkle of possibly Golden Retriever in his genes, and he is NOT hypoallergenic.
Approx 6 months, male, neutered and all vetting completed, he is in excellent health and very sweet!

This adorable Poodle /mix? puppy joined our rescue through no fault of his own and has won all hearts who have met him ever since!

A happy go luck boy overall, Spencer adores other dogs, all people and loves to play. He has the typical high energy of a young vibrant puppy.
Spencer is not keen on sharing his toys or chewies with other dogs (who would be) so would love to be the king of the castle in his new home. He adores his foster family and also plays well on his own.

He has not been exposed to cats and we do not recommend a home with cats.

Due to his young age and ongoing training and mental stimulation needs, his adoptive family should be someone not away for more than 4 hours at a time/home often to meet his needs.

He is not an ideal match for older seniors due to his young age/life expectancy, or young children in his home due to his bouncy, playful energy and due to still working on not jumping up.
He will require attendance in approved training classes as part of his adoption contract.

He's very friendly meeting all new people, gets excited and is working on not jumping on people when greeting them.

Spencer is not a fan of long car rides so would not be a good fit for those who travel often or weekend getaways frequently. His motion sickness may resolve as he gets older but he is still learning that car rides are to fun places and not to be feared.

Spencer loves his walks and socializing in his neighbourhood, but is not a candidate for off leash hikes or dog parks.

Notes:
*Registration with a positive method, approved training school/trainer is mandatory for this dog to continue with their training, socialization and to help set them up for success in their forever home/future.
*Children must be over 10yrs (due to his size and energy), respectful and dog savvy, with parental supervision required at all times.
*Must be located within Ontario Canada
*Inground/ground level Pools and ponds must be separately fenced from yard

Spencer's adoption fee is a minimum donation of $600. Adoption fees include neuter, microchip, age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and all vet care during their time with us.

Our motto is "know better/do better" and we ask all adoptive families to be as committed to providing our dogs with quality nutrition as they are to providing love. This documentary is not advertising, purely just educational.

An adoption application must be completed and approved, including vet references as well as a home visit (Zoom during COVID), prior to meeting available dogs.
All dogs are placed in loving foster homes during their time with us, we do not have a shelter to visit.
We do not allow applicants to visit until pre-approved for adoptions. Our dogs are in private foster family homes, not in a shelter.
