SPARKY- Needs a foster/forever home!

Sparky's estimated birth year is 2016.<br/><br/>Sparky is a very handsome German Shepherd who found himself in a very high kill shelter and scheduled to be euthanized. We were asked to save him and without hesitation we brought Sparky into our rescue. Unfortunately Sparky was found to be heartworm positive and has completed his treatment. He will require monthly heartguard for the rest of his life. Sparky is a wonderful boy who loves to hang out with people, go for car rides and play with balls. He is a VERY ACTIVE, STRONG GUY!!. Sparky is working on his leash manners. Good with other dogs after a slow introduction. Unknown how he is with cats. Children 7 years old and older. His forever home is required to have a totally enclosed PRIVACY FENCED YARD. Sparky can jump a chain link fence. He is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, on monthly heartworm preventative as well as house and crate trained. Sparky cannot wait to become a member of a very loving family who will take him on fun adventures and treat him like a king!!<br/><br/>All dogs we rescue stay with us until they find their forever homes. A home visit is required to ensure our dogs go to a safe environment and our dog gets along with your dog(s) and/or cat(s). We require all our dogs over the age of 1 year to attend 1 obedience class (class is a 6 week session) outside the home. You must live within 1 hour of Birmingham, MI to adopt one of our dogs. No out of state or outside the U.S. adoptions or fosters.
