Sparkle

Poor, beautiful Sparkle is a former breeding farm dog. She is fearful of men who are loud and move around a lot. She will do best in a home with no men or with a man who isn't loud She will not do well with children as their activity level would scare her. It took us 5 weeks to get her to a healthy weight as she was originally afraid to eat. She slept in a crate at night once here as that seemed to make her feel safe. For the last week she has been sleeping on my bed with me at night. Each day she seems to make a little progress. Even though my bigger dogs love her, she seems a little bit intimidated by their size and doesn't want to eat when they are around. I believe she would do great as an only dog or with another small dog. She will bark if a stranger comes near the fenced yard but other then that she is very quiet. Loves being a lap dog and watching tv. She is not yet leash trained. Sparkle has experienced a lot of trauma in her life. She is afraid of strangers at first and doesn't trust easily. But in 2 months she has become very comfortable with us. She will need time, patience and lots of love. A visible fenced yard is required to adopt Sparkle.
