Sourdough's Story

Looking for a best little friend ?
Someone to get cozy with ?
Do you appreciate a good loaf of bread?
Introducing Sourdough!
Sourdough is a sweet little girl that came to us this past May after being surrendered by her owner to the Newark Shelter.
Sourdough had a massive growth on her chest, ( It was benign !) that was originally thought to ne Inoperable. We proved that wrong, had It removed, and youd never know that It was ever there
We believe Sourdough is a chihuahua / corgi mix and she is the cutest little loaf there ever was.
She is about seven or eight years old and is healthy and spayed.
Sourdough does have a mild heart condition, and takes inexpensive medication for it.
She takes her meds easily, and it doesn't keep her from being active.
Her foster mommy says Sourdough is fully house trained, has good manners, LOVES treats, and is a little love bug. She likes car rides and is a good girl in her stroller when shopping or going for walks. Her favorite thing In the world Is a good belly rub, and she Is not shy about asking for them.
Sourdough does form strong bonds, is very loving, but can aldo be very independent.
She will come to you to snuggle when she needs a little love.
Have we mentioned that she LOVES belly rubs and makes the cutest little snorting noise when she is happy?
Sourdough will warn you about strangers when first meeting them, but a quick sniff of their hands and she is a friend to everyone.
Sourdough has lived peacefully in foster with certain dogs, but would do best in a home with no other dogs.
This tiny loaf loves being outside and would love a forever home with a backyard so she can soak up the sun and run around.
Are you ready for all the good that this magical , special, sweet lovey loaf will bring to your life?
To know her Is to love her and she can be all yours!
To adopt Sourdough, you must first fill out an application-
https://www.hharteam.org/adoption-form/
Sourdough is located in Northern NJ, and we do not ship dogs.
