His foster deadline is almost up and he has NOWHERE to go :( <br/><br/>Mateo was rescued from a beach in Puerto Rico and has been through a lot of transition since — including being bounced between multiple foster homes, never truly getting the stability he deserves.<br/><br/>The good news? Mateo is naturally affectionate from the start. He loves to snuggle, happily lounges by your side, and is the perfect TV-watching buddy. He bonds quickly and just wants to be close to his person.<br/><br/>Like many dogs who have experienced instability, Mateo can be a bit sensitive around high-value items like bones, especially if he feels unsure. With structure, respect for his space, and proper guidance, he continues to build confidence.<br/>Mateo cannot live in a loud area. The city, loud noises, and constant activity are overwhelming for him. He needs a quiet home with a yard, where he can feel safe and relaxed.<br/><br/>This sweet boy is so ready to finally land somewhere permanent.
