It's time for this Maltese/Poodle foster pup to find a new home! Her former owner was disabled, and found young Sophie needed more activity than she could provide.<br/><br/>Sophie has a super nice non-shedding coat, but she needs regular grooming; I would count on having her clipped every 4-8 weeks. That's a big commitment! She looks like a darling little couch dog, and she does love snuggling (very affectionate) but she's also a super athlete who loves nothing more than to play fetch for hours. And she NEEDS the exercise; she's very high-energy, and without a commitment of time spent either fetching yard play or taking a long off-leash walks, she can be restless. <br/><br/>With plenty of exercise, she's very enjoyable. She gets along with other dogs, but by virtue of not caring that much about them, pro or con. <br/><br/>I haven't seen it, but I hear she chases cats. She can be barky, but has learned a very good recall and cheerfully runs back to me after just a bark at the fenceline. She's light enough to pick up and carry easily if you had to -- but she's hiked with my dogs everywhere we go and been the most energetic at the end, so NEEDING to carry her is not likely. <br/><br/>Sophie can exhibit a bit of anxiety about being left home alone, but in a month with me, has learned to accept being left for a few hours at a time. <br/><br/>Do you know someone in Northern California who needs an energetic young beauty?
