Sophie (I am in a holistic rescue please read my description)

Hi I am Sophie and I am quite the princess around here!! I was at a shelter, and they were going to end my life because I was scared and snapping out!!! Another rescue saw me and asked the shelter to give them 24 hours to find another rescue, if Mama Dog or any other rescue could not take me, I was a goner. Mama Dog knew my life was at risk, so she told the other rescue to bring me here!! Whew!!<br/><br/>Well, when I came here, I was reactive to some of the bigger dogs and they were not having it and I got myself hurt some, but Mama Dog had me all fixed up. So, NO BIG DOGS FOR ME!! I like the little ones, but when I am snuggling close to Mama Dog, I do get protective and jealous too. I have had a lot of traumas, and I need someone who will go slow with me but once you earn my trust I am all in, I am yours forever. <br/><br/>Mama Dog laughs when I walk, she says I prance like a princess, well I am one so really, I don't know why she would expect less. Breakfast and dinner time I am right there and the way to my heart is through my belly!! When it's bedtime I love nothing more to snuggle and lay close to you. I like to be pampered and petted, and have you talk to me, and I lay right into your arms.<br/><br/>I don't think young kids would be a good idea for me and I might react to them.<br/><br/><br/>Mama Dog does everything holistically around here. I have been fixed, and microchipped, I have been muscle tested also and I have supplements that will go with me when I am adopted. I eat a well-balanced diet of a meat protein mixed with Dr Harvey's or Grandma Lucy's and eat Zignature for my kibble. My body is detoxed and I do not have any harsh chemicals on my body and the rescue would like my forever home to follow along as much as possible to keep my body healthy. Why do they ask this??? Because they want you and me to stay together and for many years and keeping me on a holistic program and seeing a holistic vet will do just that. We go to Sheppard Alternative Animal Care and Natural Healing Pet Care. You will LOVE them they HEAL us no give us yucky pharmaceuticals. If you don't know about holistic care and proper nutrition Mama Dog will teach you all about it if you want to learn!
