Sophie's Story

I need help asap with rehoming a young playful hearted 3yr old Pitbull mix. I found her (Sophie) lost on my upper property about two years ago, and adopted her. I can no longer put in the energy she commands at her young youthful age, as I'm getting older plus dealing with some serious health problems.
She is a very active, intelligent animal that I can't put in the time with. I take her on three walks a day plus one outdoor activities once a week. She needs a lot of attention from people and is very friendly. I haven't ever had her around young children or other animals. She has done well with other dogs. Sophie is up to date with all health vaccines and registration plus medical records. She is a heartworm survivor. She is spayed and microchipped. She is potty trained. She doesn't like loud sounds like 4th of July or thunder storms. She has mild separation anxiety, and an escape artist. She just needs a loving home asap because I may have no other option or choice besides surrendering her to the local animal shelter. I have exhausted all other resources. This is an urgent SOS call for help. If there is someone looking for a great dog, please consider adding Sophie to your family. Things she will come with: food bowls, dog bed and kettle, plus leashes and play toys. Help Sophie dog find a good home.

In sincere regards,

Jimmy
(530) 218-1193
Thakwan4life@gmail.com

Oregon House, CA

* Summary:

• Age 3.5yrs
• Spayed Female
• Pitbull mix (54 lbs)
• Vaccinated & Registered
• Heartworm survivor
• Good with other dogs

California Pit Bull Rescue's Adoption Policy
If you are interested in adopting a dog through California Pit bull Rescue (CPR) we have a few standard steps you will need to take: We ask that you fill out our Adoption Questionnaire, to help determine what type of dog(s) would best suit you. We will arrange for a "meet and greet" with your dog(s) of choice -- everyone, human or not, who will be living with the dog or interacting with him/her regularly is required to meet in person. Home checks are mandatory -- this is when we will get a first glimpse of how your prospective family member fits in and adjusts in your home. If all goes well, we start your trial adoption period with our adoption contract and donation (which includes microchipping, vaccination and spay/neuter) of $300. Depending on the situation, you will be required to check in at intervals to provide updates on the dog's transition. In most cases we will conduct a minimum of one follow-up visit to check on the dog's condition and welfare post adoption. You will also be required to provide proof of training with an approved trainer within one month of placement, before the adoption can be finalized. We also strongly recommend that you continue lifelong training with your dog. All CPR dogs have our full support post-adoption for questions, advice and feedback. Should you ever find yourself in the position of having to give up your dog, we require that you contact us first. We also strongly urge you to contact us before issues arise, so we can provide the resources you need to successfully keep your dog with you for life.
