Sonny's Story

This is Sonny, a 7 year old Shepherd orphan. <br/>Unfortunately his owner, a young Marine, was taken with Covid and this beautiful dog was left without a home.<br/>He was an outdoor dog until he arrived with our rescue. He's crate trained and housebroken. Sonny is neutered, microchipped and current on vaccines.<br/>He seems to like other, bigger dogs, but he doesn't get along with small dogs. Sonny needs someone who has the time to train with him, and we will supply a training class with our trainer. NO SMALL CHILDREN.<br/>He will require a securely fenced block wall yard and a patient person who will train him.<br/>He is a very smart dog, who is learning new tricks all by himself, we hate to see such a waste of a magnificent dog.<br/>No apartment dwellers, please. A home visit is required.<br/><br/>Please fill out an app here if you are interested in adopting him.<br/>http://www.azdesertrotti.com/html/to_adopt.htm<br/><br/>Arizona Desert Rottie & Pals Rescue is a NO KILL rescue serving Tucson and the surrounding area. <br/><br/>A home visit is usually required for the safety of our animals. We check the yard to make sure our pups cannot escape, no predator can get in, and also to look for hazardous plants he may get in to. At the end of the application, please include the type of fencing and the height of the fence you have around your yard. <br/><br/>Once you have filled out the application, someone will contact you about the dog to answer your questions and tell you where our next adoption event will be.

Arizona Desert Rotti & Pals Rescue's Adoption Policy
We are having an adoption event at Holy Cow this coming Sunday, March 16, from 1:30 pm to 3pm. Come join us, we have lots of cute dogs right now. When we have an adoption event, we show our dogs at the Holy Cow Tack & Feed Store at 7878 E Tanque Verde. Please verify by email that we will be there before you come. We try very hard to keep our adoption fees as low as possible. We are a non profit charity, and believe us we don't ! We are completely staffed with volunteers. We require an application approval and a home visit before you can take a pet home. We will make arrangements to meet with you after your application has been pre-approved. You do not have to have a specific dog in mind in order to submit an application. We are still taking in lots of dogs, and we need homes for them more than ever. We also need fosters so don't hesitate to ask. Please email your questions to us at SueBergier49@gmail.com blueheaven101@aol.com
