He is approximately 2 1/2 years old, 27 lbs., and appears to be a smaller sized beagle. He is very athletic and loves to run and play. He has a big personality and is very smart. <br/><br/>Sonny would do best in a beagle experienced home as he is your typical beagle (adorable with a side of mischievous!). He sits nicely for treats, potties on leash, and sleeps quietly in a crate at night. He will also stay in a crate during the day as long as he has something to keep his mind occupied but really prefers being with his people on the couch. <br/><br/>He is very curious and loves to explore. During quiet times, he loves to entertain himself with chew toys. A fenced in yard is a plus as he was a stray and was out exploring the world without boundaries. <br/><br/>Sonny will do best in a home where he can be the only pet and where his humans are mostly home. He could also benefit from training classes to build confidence and develop the skills he needs to become a well-adjusted and successful companion in his new home.<br/><br/>He is searching for a special home that will love him and introduce him to a wonderful new life.<br/><br/>NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
