She is good with people, gentle with children, and good with dogs of all sizes. Somi has a good temperament and lots of love to give. She has been through a rough start in life and is shy with new people at first. However, there is not a mean bone in her. Somi is doing well in her foster home and ready for her forever home. Somi started some leash training and is learning at a good pace. She is crate-trained and doing well on her housetraining. She rides well in the car and can wait patiently while her foster mom runs errands. We are looking for a committed home to continue training and socialization as she grows up.

Somi’s Rescue Story

Somi and her siblings were found abandoned in the mountain. They were rescued by a volunteer of a TNR (Trap / Neuter / Return) rescue group. TNR groups specialize in getting stray animals spayed and neutered and the animals are returned to their original location to live as homeless dogs. TNR programs help with the overpopulation of unwanted animals. The volunteer reached out to an experienced international rescue organization to help with them and some other puppies that are still too young to be released back to the streets. The founder of the rescue organization has over 180 dogs waiting for homes. She really does not have space for another dog. However, she could not bear to see them going back to the mountain and suffer on the streets. She agreed to take them home and give them a chance in life.

Somi had a thorough medical checkup. She had been spayed, vaccinated, microchip, and passed negative on her blood tests. Please give Somi a loving home where she will never be left behind again.

Please watch Somi’s YouTube videos below:

https://youtu.be/eSlxq5KNlZI - Soma Somi Somu Somo chewing bones
https://youtu.be/KEcuYNQhFOU - Soma & Somi with children
https://youtu.be/-BTpGtbCj3A – Somi meeting a child
https://youtu.be/q8KPMa2A280 - Somi no food aggression
https://youtu.be/d8mJIAHGEZI - Somi meeting cats
https://youtu.be/rhiNdTKIIHY - Soma Somi Somo Somu good with dogs
https://youtu.be/xflw8Ijv5Co - Somi at Doggie Park
https://youtu.be/_c5V0554Xm8 – Somi Soma Somu Somo in Public
https://youtu.be/bTcVcsWfSOM - Somi & Soma in public
https://youtu.be/ftLpIbWV--Y - Soma Somi Somo Somu walking
https://youtu.be/9RGErwMgSa4 - Somi & Soma walking
https://youtu.be/Aw0efAfsCMs - Somi & Soma at airport
https://youtu.be/4qel8iKnkJA - Somi Off Leash Hiking
https://youtu.be/IWDWRaOxuzI - Dutchie Dutch Soma somi Claire Cleo
https://youtu.be/X9fVsw4uH20 - Soma Somi Somo Somu Vet Checkup

If you would like to give SOMI a forever home, please go to www.adoptadoggie.org to fill out an online application with your home photos.
You can also email your home environment photos to contact@adoptadoggie.org
Once we received your application, we will get back to you ASAP.

Adopt a Doggie Facebook:
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Adopt-a-Doggie/312107112299799

Temperament:
Energy Level: Medium
Ideal home environment: Both Quiet & Active
Is the dog good with strangers: A little shy
The dog is best with children of what age group?
