Solo's Story

Endearing, loveable and sweet, is what our boy Solo is all about. You know you have a special boy in front of you when you meet him. His eyes are soulful, and his face is full of charm. Solo is a 6-month-old labrador retriever mix, and he currently weighs around 34 pounds. It is estimated that he will be a medium sized dog of up to 60 pounds when he is fully grown. This boy checks off all the boxes for being a great canine companion.Solo has a friendly personality that extends to other dogs, children and adults. When it comes to puppy antics that will keep you in stitches Solo will not disappoint. He will gladly join in on fun play with just about anyone. He has not been exposed to a cat since coming into rescue so his relationship with a cat is unknown at this time. Running, playing and exploring are on the top of his list. He is sure to have wonderful interactions with everyone. His puppy energy will carry him through the day followed by some quiet time of rest.Solo is still learning the ropes of his crate and leash training. It will take time, practice and patience to achieve his goals. He knows that his family will be there for him. He has achieved gold star status on his house training. Although he is housetrained, it is important to remember that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. Transitioning into a new home and new life has challenges but the time and effort are all worthwhile in the end. Solo will be your new best friend that you will not be able to stop talking about. He will be your steady companion and a true blessing in your life. * Please keep in mind when considering adoption, dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust significantly better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Solo is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.
