Solar

Solar was brought to us as a baby puppy in 2022. The person said someone was going to kill him. Most recently he was brought back on October 10, 2026, because his owner was basically homeless and could no longer provide care. He’s just under five years old now and is pretty skinny at 59 pounds. I know this guy looks like a non-descript terrier hound mix, but don’t pass by him. I just have a feeling he’s going to be someone’s best friend. I enjoyed walking him in the woods at our shelter. He’s athletic and also calm at the same time. The previous owner said he was dog and child friendly. He knows basic commands and he housebroken.Meet and greet required if you have another dog. He tested negative for heartworm. Video available upon request. Call or text Alexandra 330-261-3934 if you’re interested in adopting. The adoption donation is $100 and includes neuter, UTD vaccines, and microchip.

Please keep in mind that we try to match your application and lifestyle with a dog the best suits your home.
